Cybersecurity Summer Intern

 

Summary: The Cybersecurity Intern is responsible for assisting with Security Risk Assessments, Policies and Procedures, and remediation plans. Interns will get hands-on experience working in a Blue Team Cybersecurity environment.

Internship Duration: 8 - 10 Weeks

Salary: TBD (Based on previous experience, projects, and how knowledgeable of Cybersecurity)

Duties and Responsibilities

 

• Review and update documentation for policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.

• Assistance with the deployment, research, and upkeep of website and social media content.

• Provide HIPAA compliance monitoring and research.

• Support vulnerability and risk analysis processes, create reports, and submit for remediation.

• Perform compliance audits against HIPAA security controls.

• Record and track remediation updates of clients as they work through their work plans

• Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements

 

• Must be available 20 hours each week.

• Must be willing to travel within the Middle Georgia Area and possibly Atlanta, GA.

• Maintain good (digital) citizenship.

• Ability to research, collect and analyze data.

• Must uphold, enforce, and abide by all HamTECH Solution’s policies.

• Strong writing skills.

• Preference is given to students with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and web design (Wix).

• Preference is given to students enrolled with a concentration in Cybersecurity, IT administration, or related degree or training program.
